Temporary Disruption of Seismic Data Transmission and Earthquake Rapid Response System Due to Scheduled Maintenance
The Institute of Earth Sciences and Seismic Monitoring Center announces that temporary disruption may occur in the transmission of seismic and geodetic data due to scheduled maintenance, which may affect the functionality of the Earthquake Rapid Response System.
To improve service quality, MagtiCom will carry out a scheduled software upgrade on June 9, 2025, from 01:00 AM to 06:00 AM (local time). During this time, mobile services—including data transmission (GPRS)—may be interrupted, causing a temporary halt in real-time data flow from seismic stations.
This may lead to temporary delays in the Earthquake Response System, which relies on continuous data from seismic stations. However, in case of a significant seismic event, our team, in collaboration with international partners, will work to provide epicenter and magnitude information as quickly as possible, even if delayed.
Further updates regarding full system restoration will be shared in due course.
